- 1–3 years of workers’ compensation claims adjusting experience
- Working knowledge of New York State Workers’ Compensation Law, Workers’ Compensation regulations, and required filing timelines.
- Experience with medical-only and/or entry-level indemnity claims preferred
- NYS workers’ compensation experience within a TPA, carrier, self-insured, or municipal environment preferred
- 3–5 years of workers’ compensation claims adjusting experience.
- Prior experience as a senior adjuster, mentor, or informal lead preferred.
- Experience independently managing moderate to complex indemnity and medical claims.
- Strong negotiation skills and working knowledge of litigation management, medical treatment guidelines, reserve practices, and claim documentation standards.
- NYS workers’ compensation experience within a TPA, carrier, self-insured, or municipal environment preferred.

- Licensed Registered Nurse with a strong clinical background
- Critical care and Occupational Health experience preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of case management experience preferred
- National Case Management certification required (CCM, COHN, AAOHN CM, CIRS, CRC, or similar)
- Insurance industry case management experience preferred.
- College degree and relevant OSHA experience preferred – Safety Degree preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge in risk management and safety related assessments required.
- Must be an excellent communicator both verbally and in writing and possess strong presentation skills. Must be well organized and able to work independently.
- Experience conducting safety and specialized training preferred.
- Workers’ compensation or similar insurance experience in a safety role preferred.
- Five or more years working with municipal clients preferred.
- Long Island resident or nearby preferred.
- Travel required.
